JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Fiscal Manager
Position Description: To perform accounting duties of moderate to difficult complexity, coordinate all fiscal actovities to ensure reports are submitted timely and accurately, ensures accuracy of fiscal reports, supervises reports that involve any fiscal detail, prepares agency and single project budgets, obtain information on employee nenefits and vendors and conducts enrollment process, reports to the Executive Director and assists the management team in fiscal and organizational decision making. Specific Functions: Follow GAP procedures as stated in accounting guidelines. Participation in management team meetings/activities. Join the management team staff and Board of Directors in the formulation of a fundraising/ resource development plan. Complete journal entries and review process. Conduct ongoing budget forecasting and monitoring. Generate monthly, quarterly and yearly reports according to contractual requirements and office procedures. Utilization of accounting software according to pre-established guidelines and update/enhancement of the current EZ Funds systems in response to new contracts/organizational growth. Budget preparation, cost allocation plans and budget revisions. Preparation of audit working papers. Participate and support the administrative team in submitting federal, state, local and private foundation grant applications. Conduct a bidding process to follow federal procurement policies. Lead the management team in presenting a selection of yearly personnel benefit options. Maintain updated property inventory and reconciliation. Contribute with fiscal information to design and implement the Board of Directors strategic plan Payroll preparation and overhead allocation. Monthly account reconciliation. Payroll oversight, verifying payroll reports and payroll tax filings. Review time sheets, oversight of time sheets reports. Monitor of petty cash expenditures. Consult legal issues with organization legal counsel. Handle all accounts payable and receivable for the organization. Cultivate an environment of education and dialogue to maintain the management abreast of all fiscal information.
Skills and Knowledge required: Generally accepted accounting principles and practices. Basic governmental accounting practices and procedures. Microsoft, Word, Excel, Quick books, Fund EZ. Methods, practices and terminology of computer systems, data entry, equipment. Office methods, practices and procedures. Automated financial systems. Education: Two years of non-profit accounting experience with professional degree as Bookkeeper. Accounting degree.
